The Company warrants that the following products manufactured by it will be free from defects in material and workmanship for the below mentioned periods from date of delivery;

 

1. SECURITY ALUMINIUM SHUTTERS

 

INLAND* 10 YEARS including workmanship, materials, locks, cylinders, and hinges COASTAL** 5 YEARS including, workmanship, materials, locks, cylinders, and hinges *

 

*INLAND described as more than 10km from the beachfront.

** COASTAL described as within 10km from the beachfront.

 

2. ALUMINIUM SHUTTERS 5 YEARS including materials locks; cylinders, and hinges

 

3. THERMOWOOD® SHUTTERS 3 YEARS including workmanship, hinges, and materials

 

4. TIMBER WOODEN SHUTTERS 5 YEARS including workmanship, hinges, and materials

 

5. INDOOR BLINDS includes indoor roller blinds, vertical blinds, venetian blinds, woven blinds 2 YEARS including material (fabric, aluminium, wood***), workmanship, and components

 

6. INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL ROLLER BLIND MOTORISATION: 5 YEARS on all tubular motors

 

*** WOODEN VENETIAN BLIND SPECIFICATIONS Slight warpage, as well as natural variations in colour and grain effect, are normal with a wood product and are not considered defects. In addition, some fading and/or discoloration of the finish may occur over time. This is common with man-made coatings and is not considered a defect.

 

The wood used in our 50mm venetian window blinds is hand selected, kiln-dried Basswood which has a natural insulating properties to keep winters warm and summers cool. The slats have been stained and sealed in one of the various colour finishes, we offer. Basswood has successfully been used in venetian blind manufacture for over 100 years, but the natural characteristics of wood should be borne in mind.

 

7. EXTERNAL ROLLER BLINDS 5 YEARS including fabric, workmanship, and components

 

8. The warranty given above is subject to:

 

A. The Company’s product being installed by an installer authorized by the Company or trained and approved by the Distributor.

 

B. The Company’s products consisting exclusively of the Company’s materials and components.

 

C. The Company’s products being used for a purpose for which it was designed;

 

D. The Company’s products not misused, altered or repaired by an installer or customer;

 

E. The Company’s products were regularly cleaned and maintained according to the Company’s product care instructions;

 

F. The guarantee excludes reasonable wear and tear.

 

9. This warranty does not include: Any conditions or damages resulting from accidents, alterations, misuse, abuse, exposure to the elements, excessive humidity, motorised devices, or failure to follow our instructions with respect to measurement, installation, cleaning, or maintenance. In addition, this warranty does not cover any condition or damage resulting from the removal of the blind and reinstallation in the same or another window.

 

10. Product care instructions

 

A. Use a premium quality (salt free) car wash liquid, mixed with water as per manufacturer’s directions and a soft cotton cloth to clean the entire unit.

 

B. Never use abrasive cleaners, detergent based cleaners, or solvent based cleaners such as scouring agents, dishwashing liquids, washing powders, thinners etc. as these can adversely affect the expected life of the product.

 

C. Hard to reach areas may require the use of a soft nylon bristle.

 

D. Dry unit with a soft cotton cloth or chamois.

 

E. Use a lubricating spray for all moving parts especially hinges
